Altrations of the Blood-Aqueous Potentials in the Rabbit

The blood-aqueous potential in the rabbit averaged 7.0 mv., with the aqueous positive. Intravenous sodium perchlorate and probenecid reduced the potential. Acetazolamide produced an abrupt fall, followed by a gradual rise that lasted about 20 minutes. No similar alteration was observed with sodium sulfadiazine. No change was observed following intravenous ascorbic acid. Intravitreal bromcresol green markedly depressed the potential and also reduced the intraocular pressure.
