The Localization of Sodium in the Teleost Cornea

The fine structure of the brown trout cornea and its adaptional features are described. Localization of sodium in these corneas is also reported. The morphological appearance of the cornea andthe distribution of sodium within the tissue are correlated with its impermeability to sodium.
